Garmin eTrex Legend HCx
Built to the same rugged specifications as Garmin military products, the eTrex Legend HCx stands tough in the harshest environments. The compact case is ultrasonically welded and waterproof to IPX-7 standards. That means it can withstand immersion in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes. The sleek design of this GPS receiver not only makes it easy to carry, it makes it very easy to use, even when you're on the move in rough terrain.
All buttons are located on either side of the unit, allowing for simple, one-handed operation that won't obstruct your view of the display. The newly added high sensitivity GPS processor results in faster acquisition times and improved tracking performance in challenging outdoor environments, including heavy tree coverage and canyons.
The eTrex Legend HC features a bright color TFT display and come with a built-in basemap and microSD card for adding additional map data using the optional MapSource® mapping software. Thanks to the color TFT display, map detail remains clean and crisp in bright sunlight. Automatic route generation, off-route recalculation, turn-by-turn directions with alert tones, and icon-driven menus for finding points of interest (when combined with Garmin's optional MapSource CDs) navigate you safely to your destination.
With its many advance features, the low price makes this receiver a must for the budget-minded adventurer. It is an excellent mid-level receiver with the Garmin quality.
