Garmin Colorado 400t
Garmin's Colorado 400t is one of the top of the line in the Colorado series from Garmin. Like the 300 model, it is completely different from the other handheld units like the GPSMap 60 and 76 models. The Colorado series have four buttons to turn it on and control its functions. Also, it has a "rock n roller" button that serves as the enter key and moves you around in four directions on the menus. And the button has a outer ring button that moves you through the menus and zoon functions.
The large, full color, transreflective display is very easy on the eyes with screens that can be read at a glance. The 240 x 400 pixel resolution screen delivers beautiful imagery, but it lacks some brightness compared to the other model lines. The shaded relief maps and 3-D terrain look wonderful on the Colorado series.
The Colorado series allow you to share wirelessly basic waypoint, route and geocache data between units. A great feature when on expeditions with friends. Also the receiver can display data from optional an heart-rate monitor and/or speed and cadence sensor. Great for bicyclist. Geocachers will love the Colorado series receivers since it supports most of the popular geocach activities like cache size, difficulty ratings, and logs.
The Colorado 400t comes with preloaded U.S. topographic maps, 3-D map view, and a built-in worldwide basemap with shaded relief. Map detail includes national, state and local parks and forest, terrain contours, elevation information, trails, rivers, lakes, and points of interest. And the 3-D map view lets you see how steep the hills are that you will travel. The Colorado 400t accepts SD™ cards for unlimited memory capacity. The card slot is located inside the waterproof battery compartment, so you don't have to worry about getting it wet.
Included With Purchase: Colorado 400t, USB interface cable, preloaded topographic maps, Worldwide basemap with shaded relief, MapSource Trip and Waypoint Manager CD, carabiner clip, owner's manual, Quick-Start guide.
